Some CARC History on the Web

Whilst looking around on the web for some information on WSPR for a talk I am going to give, I put the following search string into Microsoft Bing: <carc wspr> (omitting the <> delimiters)

This found two interesting links

CARC WSPR Competition - An alternative presentation of the results (google.com)

and then

[CrARC] WSPR Contest - Day 29 (google.com)

In this latter case if you search for <[CrARC]> in the Conversations search box (again omitting the delimiters> you get to a whole bunch of historic CARC emails from around 2016.

I am not sure how they got there but they originate from the CARC blog before it was suspended a few years back.

I then took a look at what the Wayback machine had on file and found the old version of the CARC website.

Crawley Amateur Radio Club (archive.org)

Unfortunately it only has the first two levels of material as far as I can see, but there are articles in the Archive by Derek G3GRO, Lech G3KAU, G3JKF. Unfortunately much that eventually points to the new CARC website is lost.

A series that was written by many club members, and maybe should be restarted was "My Favourite Receiver"/ Thus can be found at Crawley Amateur Radio Club (archive.org). It is particularly worth reading Lech, G3KAU's story: Wayback Machine (archive.org)

Enjoy
